WMC Varsity vs The Potters House Christian School (63 - 41) Win Wyoming, MI - The WMC Boys Basketball Team traveled to Wyoming to take on Potters House on Tuesday night and walk out with a 63-31 win. After starting the year 0-2, the Warriors entered the game on a mission to get a win. "Our defense was really good tonight, specifically the 2/3 zone was very effective in getting tips and steals," said WMC Head Coach Matt Haveman The Warriors jumped out to a 14-6 lead with Zach Weare scoring two 3's and Tyson Annema scoring 5 points in the opening quarter. The Warriors also scored 14 points in the 2nd quarter with 3-point shots coming from Zach Weare, Braeden Olsen and Gavriel Modderman. The Warriors led 29-14 at halftime. The 3rd quarter was much of the same with hot shooting from Zach Weare, Tyson Annema and Gavriel Modderman all dropping 3's and scoring 19 total points in the quarter to extend the Warrior lead to 47-19. WMC had balanced scoring with Zach Weare and Tyson Annema each scoring 13 points. Braeden Olsen scored 8, Brody Haveman scored 7 and Gavriel Modderman dropped 6 points on the night. WMC is back at it tomorrow night, Wednesday December 10 at home vs Holland High School at 7PM
