Fremont’s relentless full-court pressure proved to be the difference Wednesday night, as their fast pace and tough shot-making eventually wore down Western Michigan Christian in a competitive matchup. “The first quarter and into the second we hung tight and showed some great spurts,” Coach Tyler Ray said. “Fremont plays 94 feet of pressure basketball from start to finish. They are a phenomenal team.” WMC battled throughout, led by Madie Folkema who finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Kasey Folkema added 7 points, giving the Warriors valuable scoring support. Despite strong stretches, the Warriors couldn’t fully overcome Fremont’s constant defensive pressure and transition tempo.
