The WMC Boys Track and Field team competed in the Houseward Invitational hosted by Unity Christian on Saturday in wet, cold and windy conditions. They finished 12th in a field of 18 teams. In addition gaining toughness and grit by competing in the challenging conditions, we came away with some encouraging performances that set us up in good position to perform even better as the weather improves. Scorers included: Anderson Leffring (3rd, Pole Vault - 11'0") Tyson Annema (4th Long Jump - 18'7", 5th 300m Hurdles - 45.17 , 7th 110m Hurdles - 16.97 PR, ) The 4 x 200m relay team of Carter Peggar, Sam Hwang, Anderson Leffring and Tyson Annema also placed 4th. PR (personal record) performances were especially impressive on a day with this kind of weather and we had several, including: 100m - Carter Peggar, Juan DeJonge, Ezra Forman 200m - Anderson Leffring, Levi DeJonge 400m - Juan DeJonge, Micah Scholma 1600m - Owen Sytsema 3200m - Owen Sytsema, Micah Scholma 100m Hurdles- Levi DeJonge Discus - Silas Cowan, Xavier Carney
