The JV tennis team wrapped up its season on Monday with an impressive 5-3 win over Big Rapids, showing how far the players have come since the start of the year. Many of the girls started the season with little experience ,but through hard work and a willingness to learn, they have become confident and skilled competitors and closed the season with a well-earned win. We had dominant wins at several flights: Ashley Wisen and Norah Wisen won 6-3, 6-1. Sophia Hyrns and Susan Wang won 6-0, 6-0. Emersyn Bonnema and Annie Moeller won 6-0, 6-0. Maddy Sytsema and Leah Sneller won 6-1, 6-0. Audrey Detar and Emersyn Bonnema won 8-5. Maggie Zenz and Julia Best also turned in a notable performance by forcing a third set tiebreak against their opponents. We would like to thank our senior players Audrey Detar, Arin Kim, and Kasey Folkema whose positive attitudes set a great example for the team this year.
