Varsity vs Berkley High School (1 - 2) After four days of really good training, WMC welcomed Division 1 opponent Detroit Berkley. The Warriors controlled much of the possession throughout the game and created several quality chances, but Berkley took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The second half followed a similar pattern, with WMC continuing to control possession and create opportunities, but Berkley extended its lead to 2-0. Following some tactical adjustments, WMC increased the pressure on Berkley, which paid off with a goal from Emersyn Paling, assisted by Allie Buchner. “I thought we held our own tonight. Berkley was a physical team, and we didn’t back away from that challenge. We played some really good soccer tonight and were just a bit unlucky in a few moments.”
