Varsity vs West Catholic High School Western Michigan Christian Warriors were unable to find the back of the net against the West Catholic Falcons despite controlling much of the match and creating the better scoring chances. WMC kept possession for large stretches and consistently moved the ball well through the midfield, but couldn’t capitalize in the final third. “We played really good soccer tonight — linking passes in the midfield and making good movement off the ball,” the coach said. “We probably didn’t shoot the ball enough in the positions we were getting ourselves into.” The match also gave the coaching staff a clear focus moving forward. “I know what a lot of trainings will be moving forward, but that’s the fun part about coaching — things change throughout the season.” Despite the result, the energy and chemistry of the team continue to stand out. “Such a fun group to be around. The joy they bring every day is so contagious.”
